Life is Beautiful

Something which was a struggle is now a journey
Something which was away is now in close proximity

Life changes only when you want to change
It gives you opportunities to enjoy it in the fullest range

It becomes a rainbow of which you enjoy all colours
Suddenly there is beauty around with not much sorrow

So ask from life with your full heart
And believe that it will give you that in full and not in parts

Life is a like a jinni to which you have to just ask
And it will take away from you the sorrows and the dark

Life was always near and with you
You were just away from it, It was never away from you, it never was :)

Mouse Trap

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. "What food might this contain?" the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the sheep and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The sheep sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"
The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the sheep.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

MORAL
So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

Loner's Closet

A Loner
I think of her always. And then try to forget her also.
She comes in dreams and stays there.
Then the reality strikes and I see that she is not in my sight
I feel alone and then comes a smile
When I realize that I am born to be a loner and this is how it will be the end of my life.

Missing her
I am missing her everyday and always think that is the way I will always have to stay
Her smile comes in front of me and brings a tear in my eyes
She was there with me and when she went it seems I lost my life
The way she used to care, the way she would scold
It feels now that I am empty and have lost my soul
I feel alone even when in crowd
I feel like going to some place and crying out aloud
I cannot even die as I am not that brave
I have to complete some responsibilities before I can go to the grave
Just waiting for that day when we accidentally meet
And I wish she would say then “Why for so long we didn’t meet”

The Fear

Expectations can make you atleast something. But when it breaks you will just be nothing.

This is a small story about how success and expectations can lead to developing fear. This is a story about Hamza. Hamza was from a lower middle class family where there was always something which was missing daily. Compromise was something which Hamza had to learn from a very small age. Hamza was a child who was fearless in a lot of ways. Like for him studies always was about learning something interesting. It was never about success or failure. Hamza was a kid who was bad in studies but there was something very extreme with his performance which his family never realized.

Hamza was bad in Maths & Hindi, average in others and good is Social Studies, Marathi. Drawing was something in which he had a natural flair. The only thing which he was known for in school was his drawings and he used to get a lot of appreciations for it. Before you think it’s another “Taare Zameen Par” I would like to suggest that its not.

Hamza would always just manage to pass and graduate to the next standard. However, it was never that he didn’t want to go school. He always enjoyed school. He would get a lot of beating from his parents and teachers but still he would study only things which he liked. His parents were a lot concerned as he would spent most of his time after school playing in his lane. The locality was not so good and most kids would not study hard and Hamza’s parents feared that he may also become like one of them.

Hamza would always be compared to his cousins who were brilliant in their studies and were top rankers. Hamza’s parents thought that this comparison would inspire Hamza but it would not. And it would make him really angry. As a child Hamza had not much control on his anger and would often end up in fights with his friends and family.

During his school days there were certain teachers who recognized Hamza’s talent was wanted him to join sports and to get into elementary drawing courses. However, Hamza’s parents felt that he was very weak in studies and it would not help him and he was not allowed to participate in anything.

Years passed and Hamza was still the same with no change. His final year in school came and he would still not clear his school exams. However something happened in the last year. Hamza met someone who thought him Maths & Science in a completely different way. Hamza suddenly developed an interest in both and started practicing hard. Soon, everyone noticed changes in him. Even his school Prinicipal spoke with Hamza’s parent about his psychometric results and recommended that Hamza should always go in Engineering as otherwise in any other stream his talent will be wasted. That was a big moral booster for him and he soon had a dream which he was pursuing.

During all these years Hamza was supported completely by his sister who was brilliant in studies and had made their parents proud. She was also a big inspiration for him. Also, Hamza met a friend who was his first friend as a girl who really helped him in reaching for his goals. With all this support Hamza was confident that he would be finally getting the much desired success.
And so it happened. His efforts and hard work was finally rewarded. He scored a distinction and for him it was the starting of a new journey which was full of positivity where he knew that he will succeed.

But as they say that life is not always fair and the unexpected can happen anytime. Hamza soon found his dream scattered. Hamza’s family decided that they would not be able to take the expenses of sponsoring his Engineering studies and that he should get into Commerce which was an affordable option.

Hamza’s friend who had supported him so much was no longer there with him and he was also now not having his inspirational teacher with him. The only support was from his sister but she was working hard to help their family meet the two ends. Hamza saw all this and was left with no option. From this point fear started getting the better of him.

There was fear of dreaming, setting goals and mostly the fear of failure. This changed Hamza from a kid who was fearless, instinctive and a positive person to a teenager who had compromised on his dream and now was a complete introvert. This happened in a year’s time. His life completed changed. He was just pursuing his studies as he needed a degree. He had friends but he stayed alone most of the times. He worked hard and would get good results but was not satisfied. In the 2nd year of college it was again a board exam and Hamza was keen to succeed. More then that he was afraid of failing now. He started preparing well in advance and was way ahead then his friends. However, the fear took the better of him and by the time of the exams he was so weak that he felt sick. However, he appeared somehow and managed to get a 1st Class.

As the years progressed the struggle increased for him. Things at home were not good and the financial problems kept increasing. Hamza had to succeed in order to get scholarships. He even took some tutions to support his studies and computer classes. In the final year of graduation the same things happened again and Hamza again felt sick during exams and could manage only a 1st Class.

The fear has transformed him a lot. He is afraid at having a close friend now after he lost his first friend, he is afraid of failures in life as he cannot afford to have them considering his financial situation. His thoughts are more pessimistic now. His approach is never instinctive. He has to work hard now to achieve the smallest of things in life. There is a lot about him which now nobody knows, not even his family. This fear has made him a loaner.

So remember every child is not as lucky as Ishant Avasthi from Tara Zameen Par. Expectations can make a person strong but it will never make a person weak. Infact it can complete break a person. Even today Hamza wants to be a positive person and is trying hard. Fighting everyday with himself alone. He is passing through the tunnel of life and sees a ray of light at the other end…………………….

But again fears that it can be of a coming train :)

The level of Right & Wrong

This story is about a mentor and his student. Its about two individuals who respect each other. This story is about Marcus and Hamid.

Hamid had recently joined a BPO and was getting into a new world which was not known to him. He was a reserved person who would take his time to make friends. He was very short tempered but would control his anger most of the time. After the initial training period he successfully completed his OJT. He had to then progress into a new team on the production floor. On the last day of the OJT he found his friend congratulating him to be lucky since he was getting into the team of Marcus.

Marcus was the most respected Team Leader on the floor. People would envy his team as he had some of the best performers in his team. He was known to be a cool and supportive team leader and someone who was very approachable. Soon, Hamid found himself in the company of some of the best agents on the floor and started enjoying his work as he was learning something new everyday.

However, Hamid was a slow learner. He was more of a hard worker then a smart worker. He would always be in a tense situation thinking that his performance should not bring down his team scores. Moreover, the competitive environment was something which he always liked. Marcus could notice that Hamid would always be putting more then 100% but was still an average performer with regards to score. However, he had faith in Hamid’s ability and had trust in him that he would never do anything to go up which is unethical.

As time went Hamid found that Marcus was a person with the same values which he follows and would not agree to anything which is wrong. Hamid and Marcus started becoming good friends where they shared a lot of professional and personal issues.

Hamid grew in confidence under Marcus leadership and was started getting reckoned among the top performers on the floor. With this he also started becoming vocal about his opinions and about things which he would not agree with. He found on more than one occasion that Marcus would succumb to pressure from the management and the team had to compromise. Slowly these discussions between Marcus and Hamid became debates and then fights.

Marcus found Hamid at times too interfering and felt that Hamid was expecting too much from the company and from him also. Hamid on the other hand felt that Marcus was in a position which he could utilize to raise concerns which affected most of the people at the bottom level who ever actually contributing the most to the growth of the company.

Although certain members of the team agreed to Hamid’s point of view but they respected Marcus a lot and did not want to go against him. However, they would not dare to also tell Hamid much as they knew that he in his way was correct.

Strangely enough while all this was happening both of them started respecting each other more as they knew each others strengths and weakness. Hamid’s consistent good performance was something which was driving Marcus’s team. Hamid would take a lot of responsibility in training new guys joining the team and his performance and hard work finally paid off and he was promoted.

Hamid moved into a higher role and soon with his performance gained the respect of everyone working with him. Marcus and Hamid by then were good friends and would support each other whenever needed.

Hamid started considering Marcus his guru even though he would not agree to all his view points. He found Marcus always approachable. Like Hamid, others in his company too respected Marcus for being what he was. With time Marucs, also grew in the organization.

However, Hamid soon had a terrible accident and had to leave the organization. It took him a lot of mental and physical effort to recover from his illness. After 6 months when Hamid wanted to join back his company the first person he contacted was Marcus. Marcus spoke to the AVP and soon had Hamid back in the company. With this Marcus became the most important person for Hamid in the company. He would go ahead and do anything for him.

He got back to work with the same zeal and enthusiasm and soon was in the reckoning again. But faith, had something in store for him. He soon became part of a team of trainers who started considering him as a threat to their position. Hamid was subjected to some well planned office politics and soon found himself working harder but not getting the due recognition for it. He was not sure about his future in the organization. During this phase Marcus again came as a ray of hope for him. He assured him that he would be rewarded for his honesty and performance and gave him lot of confidence. For Hamid he had become an elder brother who would always be there to protect him from any dangers. People in the company too were aware of the growing friendship between Hamid and Marcus and the ones close to Marcus would envy Hamid for getting so much attention from Marcus.

By this time Marcus had already moved into the role of a Manager and soon Hamid found himself in the role of a Team Leader. Hamid and Marcus were associated with different work groups and would have in general interactions.

After getting in the role of a team leader Hamid was enjoying his working and exercising his rights to the fullest. Suddenly people working with him found that Hamid was too strict and a disciplinarian. This resulted in some friction in his team. However, they soon found that he was just being non biased and would stand up for his guys.

On the other hand Marcus also took over some bigger responsibilities. He was given the responsibility of starting a new queue. It was something on which his future growth was dependent. The bigger challenge lied in convincing the existing people to join the new queue as no guidelines were laid down and people were not sure about their growth prospects. Everyone was sure the Marcus would take Hamid along with him in this new venture. However, to everyone’s surprise Hamid was not part of Marcus team. When people would tell Hamid earlier that Marcus would definitely take him in his team he would just smile and say that he was sure that Marcus would not do so as he knows Hamid very well.

Hamid being more popular among the agents at the bottom level found a lot of them approaching him when they were given the opportunity to move to the new queue headed by Marcus. He analyzed every detail and to everyone’s surprise advised them not to join in. When Marcus found this he had an interaction with Hamid and convinced him that all his concerns regarding the growth and future of the agents would be taken care of. Hamid was satisfied and would advise people then to go ahead and join since he had complete faith in Marcus.

By this time the management had found that Hamid was most of the time against the decisions take by the management and a mindset was created that he cannot proceed ahead. Hamid was not aware that there were bigger setbacks on his way.

The first setback was when he found Marcus moving away from the promises he had made to all the new guys who joined his queue. However, he decided to give Marcus some more time with it. Later, Hamid was given a lower rating in his appraisals because he had exposed certain wrong doings by a certain person of the management who was also closely associated with Marcus but Marcus turned a deaf ear to it.

This really broke down Hamid and he was mentally very depressed. He never expected Marcus to do so. He found Marcus to be a person who for his personal growth compromised on his values. Everyone close to him realized that something was wrong with him. But only the ones really close knew about this. Hamid finally decided to leave the job. However, to his surprise Marcus was of the opinion that Hamid has been a head strong person and its better if he leaves. This completely broke Hamid.

However, during this phase also Hamid’s performer was good and his Manager relied on him heavily. To everyone’s surprise Hamid’s performance was improving more and he was able to motivate a big group of people by his leadership. His manager did his best to convince him to change his decision of leaving the job but Hamid just assured him that he wont let his performance down till the time he is there.

Marcus on the other hand soon found that people were not respecting him like before. He was still popular but the respect factor was missing. It was a phase where Marcus found that people would give him respects for his position rather then for the person he was. By this time Hamid was serving his notice period and was not interacting at all with Marcus. Marcus knew that he had done wrong and wanted to reconcile with Hamid, but Hamid was not ready for it. Hamid during this period found more such facts of Marcus breaking the faith of lot of other people who looked up to him. People close to Hamid and Marcus tried their level best to sort things out between them. Marcus knew the problem but wanted to hear it from Hamid and Hamid’s total ignoring attitude frustrated him sometimes.

During this period Hamid realized something more. Hearing that he was leaving the company there were a lot of people who came and spoke with Hamid. These were people who would not normally interact with Hamid knowing the kind of reserved guy he was but they just wanted to let him know what they felt about him. To his surprise Hamid found that people who he had trained and to whom he had literally blasted during his training session approached him more during this period.

Hamid got a job and moved out of his company but was not able to settle down mentally. The fact that his mentor and his guru who turned to be a person who for his own personal benefits compromised on his values was a big setback for him. People close to him tried to put across things like that was a phase and Marcus was back to normal but Hamid was not ready to give Marcus a second chance. He was not able to take up any job for quite some time and took a long time to recover from this emotional setback. This affected his career and his family in a big way.
Today Hamid is working at another place and Marcus is still with the old company. Off and on Marcus does gives a call to Hamid and keeps trying to settle things between them. Hamid is subjected to some similar things at his new place but due to his past experiences he is not trusting anyone anymore. He is not creating any emotional bonding with anyone at work now. On the other hand Marcus, is getting the company of less of friends and more of drinking partners.

But there is one thing which is common between both of them. Hamid still considers Marcus to be his best Guru and Marcus considers Hamid to his best student.

Hamid and Marcus made their respective choices. Its simple to define your values but difficult to persistently and continuously follow them.

A story without an end

This is a story which some of you may think of as a unrealistic story and some may say its quite possible. As the name suggests that this is a modern age story with no proper end. The end is to be decided by you all who read it. The names are changed on the request of the people who are part of this story.

This is about 2 people who are in a friendship for more then 6 years. As you would have guessed that its about a boy and a girl. Yes you are correct J. This is about Zameer and Sapna. Zameer and Sapna met online 6 years back on MSN chat (that time it was working in India). At first the conversation started in a normal way where they exchanged some of their personal info. Then they added each other on MSN Messenger and soon began chatting regularly. Over a period of time they started waiting for each other to come online. Before we go ahead some insight about Zameer.

Zameer came from a financially weak background where his family was still recovering from a financial setback. This was the period when Zameer was working at a place which paid him very low but he was happy with his job because he was learning something new all the time. Also emotionally he was going through a face which any 21 – 22 year old person would go through when they need someone special in their life to share something. Zameer was always known to be an introvert who would open up to a selected few. He was in a stage where among net friends he was looking for that one special friend. So yes he would at times try his luck a lot. But overall he was still very reserved.

Zameer had completed his studies while Sapna had said that she was still studying. While exchanging their thoughts Zameer found that Sapna was from the same college from which he completed his studies. However, whenever Zameer discussed about their college Sapna would not like it. Sapna said that she did not like to discuss about her college as she is not happy going there and is forced to go to that college. This friendship slowly started becoming more and more serious. And yes I know whats coming to your mind. That this is becoming another of those stories that you have heard before that both end up being in love.

Well, you can call it love, infatuation, addiction or net fever. So yes they start to tell each other that they feel something for each other and all that stuff. However, who do you think out of them is telling the truth? Are they lying to each other or to themselves. Well Sapna avoiding discussions related to her studies lead Zameer to suspect something. Zameer was a beta tester with an online community which was backed by big IT giants and decided to use some of his links with them to get some more details about Sapna. He was finally successful in getting her account details on MSN. The result was a big shock to Zameer. To his surprise Sapna was 6 years younger to him. And was still in school. Zameer was really furious as he felt that he opened his heart to someone who turned to be a fake person on the net. The next time when Sapna came online Zameer went ahead and pasted all her details giving a shock to Sapna. Initially she did not except it but when Zameer threatened to inform her parents about what she does on the net she accepted it. But Zameer was still curious to know the reason for it. Sapna said that she was still in school and being a girl also it was difficult for her to trust people online and the best way she thought was to hide her true identity.
Zameer felt that this was a valid point and accepted it. However, Sapna still wanted to be friends with Zameer and he also agreed to it. So from that point onwards it was the beginning of an actual friendship. Strange it make sound but they were still good friends.

After sometime Zameer had to look out for a better paying job and moved into a BPO. There he was working in nights and had no access to external messengers or chat. However, he would go on his weekends and check his mails from a cyber café and meet friends online. But he and Sapna could not co-ordinate to meet online as Zameer would mostly go to check his mails at night time. But still off and on they used to write mails to each other. The best part was that they never used to send fwded emails to each other. But just discuss what was happening in their lives. Both were happy to have a friend with whom they could share their life.

This continued for a few years. Then Zameer became too busy with his work. He had grown in his organization and was handling multiple responsibilities. This slowly resulted of him not being in contact with most of his friends. He was too involved with his work and was practically having no personal life. For almost, 1 ½ years Sapna and Zameer did not talk with each other. There was that occasional mail in between from Sapna but Zameer was busy in his own world.

So after this 1 ½ year gap Zameer and Sapna met online. Both were happy to see each other online. Sapna had a lot to say but Zameer had changed. He had become a complete introvert and a workaholic. Zameer was most of the time at work spending very little time at home. Sapna was surprised as Zameer was an ambitious person but family was always his first priority. Sapna found something wrong with Zameer. And after persistent probing found the problem. Zameer was in a relationship with a girl at his workplace which ended up on a sad note. Zameer was in love with a girl who was extremely different from someone he ever wanted. He wanted to stop thinking about her and found only one way to do it. That was to submerge himself in work. This resulted in him having no social life at all.

Zameer would be a normal person for everyone at home and at work. But inside was hiding a lot of things. So after a long time Zameer and Sapna startedto chat regularly.

Sapna’s life had also seen a lot of changes. She had moved into a world where she was discovering new things in her college life. The experience was completely different. New friends, new things to learn, new atmosphere. All was going really good for her. Sapna was a good financial background and did not had much responsibilities.

So Zameer and Sapna were at two extreme ends in their respective life. But still both use to discuss a lot about their lifes. Well its not that they never had fights. Yes they fought a lot. But no fight was bigger then their friendship. Things which changed over the years were the messengers from MSN to Gtalk but there was no change in their friendship. They would discuss work, college life, about friends, home, movies, health, songs etc etc.

But what was interesting is that in all these years (almost 4 years) they never spoke with each other. Zameer felt that most of their fights were a result of their misunderstandings which was a result of chats as both were not able to communicate their exact view point on chat. So at times Zameer insisted on asking Sapna her mobile number. But Sapna said that her mom would not allow it. This would really at times frustrate Zameer but then he respected Sapna’s feelings and did not force for it.

Sapna wanted to see him but was not ready to share her pic. Zameer mailed his pic to her but did not force her for a pic.

However, one day both got an opportunity to do voice chat on Gtalk. Sapna was not having a Mic but could hear Zameer. They decide to go ahead with it. So Sapna would write and Zameer would talk. Weird it may sound but they were ok with it. During the talk Zameer laughed with a broad smile and Sapna was happy to hear it and said that he should be always be happy like that. Zameer felt a connect between them.

After sometime Zameer realized that he was feeling something special for Sapna. He was unsure of his feelings for her. But was moreover reluctant to give himself a second chance. The fear of rejection was something which was really that he was afraid of. He had a difficult time recovering from his broken relationship.

However, on the other hand he found that Sapna was always encouraging her to find some girl and to give himself a second chance. Sapna would always wish that Zameer should get someone who would really care for him and wanted him to think positively about it.

Well, with changing times things changed and Sapna got a permission from her mom to speak with Zameer on his birthday. Zameer got a shock of his life when Sapna called up. He didn’t knew what to say. Sapna was cool and was wondering why Zameer was not sounding normal. They spoke for sometime but felt really good about it. After a few months Sapna’s birthday was coming and Zameer really wanted to talk with her. Sapna took permission from her mom and Zameer called her up. This time they spoke for a longer time and found it really difficult to end the talk. What was again different was the fact that both had each others number but Sapna didn’t wanted to go against her mom and Zameer respected Sapna’s feelings.

One day finally Zameer told Sapna that he felt something for her but was not sure of his feelings. He was happy that he felt something for her but was clear that he had no expectations from her to reciprocate his feelings. This was something which Sapna appreciated a lot. Zameer never felt the need for another girl as he always had Sapna.

Things were going well until one day when faith played a trick. Zameer had helped Sapna create an account on Gmail using which they would chat. Also Zameer would help Sapna increase her mailbox size on MSN and would himself at times customize her accounts to make things easier for Sapna. Sapna was aware of this and had complete trust in Zameer. One day when Zameer was customizing her Gmail account he happened to accidentally click on her saved chats. While moving out of it he saw his name in one of the chats. Curiosity took over and he went and read the chat. This was were Sapna was discussing about Zameer with her friend. This lead to him reading other chats were Zameer was being discussed. The result was unexpected.

Sapna had written that she felt something for Zameer but didn’t knew what this was. She had feelings for another guy also but was going through a lot of confusion. In one of the chats she mentioned her helplessness that she wants to meet Zameer but cannot. Zameer found that there have been times when Sapna was just waiting online for Zameer. Also, seeing her feelings increasing her mom wanted her to stop talking with Zameer at one point of time. Sapna would not get a proper response from the other guy whom she loved and would feel that Zameer was understanding her properly. Sapna would say that she was not having any feelings now for the other guy but would still feel bad when he would not respond to her. In her discussion when her friend asked her whether she had any problem with the differences between Zameer and her with regards to age, religion or backgrounds she would say that she would never mind it.

Zameer found that Sapna was in a state where she had a lot of confusion caused in her life because of him. Sapna was happy in her world, had a lot of friends, good family but when it came to that special person it would always lead to a confusion for her.

Zameer decided that he should move out of the picture so that Sapna can realize her true feelings and be happy. Moreover, its been 6 years since they know each other and with time their attachment towards each other is increasing. But Zameer knew that there was not much future as they were two individuals from two different backgrounds. Practically things would be not be easy for both of them. Also, Zameer discovered that earlier he would not expect much from her but after reading the chats he had started expecting things which he felt were not correct. He knew that with time this would just keep increasing. Zameer decided to discuss this with her. But was not able to discuss it completely and properly on chat. However, he would not be able to discuss this on phone also as they talk only twice in a year. So finally, Zameer decided to end this relationship on her birthday after speaking with her. He knew that was not the right day but he was left with very little choice.

So, on her birthday they spoke for hours and then Zameer told her about it. She was shocked. She had thought that things were sorted out. She tried to convince him but he was not ready. Finally, they decided to discuss it one more time on chat.

After a few days when they met online they discussed it. But Sapna was not agreeing on it. She however, had no answers for Zameer’s questions. Zameer was thinking practically but Sapna wanted him to think positively. She wanted him to let time decide about what will happen between them. But Zameer, was thinking that the more it continues the end will be more difficult to accept. And keeping in mind his family situation he couldn’t afford another breakdown. He was holding his family together and if he becomes weak for any reason they would also breakdown.
They kept arguing but finally decided that they would stop talking for a month first and see how it works. This would help them realize whether it is just an addiction or something else.
This story now from here has no end. It is up to you to decide the end. Zameer and Sapna may be real may not be. But if you feel something about this or want to give a feedback about this you can mail me at husein.chitalwala@gmail.com

This is all about choices we make, how brave we are or how practical we are, how strong we are to take a setback or how aware are we about our strengths, the choice between “whats priority for us is it important” or “whats important for us is it a priority”.

Some inspiring people

Well everyone gets some inspiration from someone or the other. We are getting inspired from a lot of people. The other day I was watching a video which really felt inspiring. It was named as "Heroes are a Different Breed". Which covered stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Mahatma Gandhi, Dhirubhai Ambani etc. This video showed how these heroes defied all odds and achieved success. How they stood against problems and came out as a winner. After seeing this video was really inspired and was thinking of all these great people.

When suddenly I saw the biggest inspiration of all in front of me. My mother. The most unsung, unappreciated hero. When I saw her sleeping there were wrinkles on her face. But that look is so amazing. She has been there always for me without asking for anything. Today she has reached that staged where she is getting older and weaker but she is always ready to do something for me.
As you can see uptill now I am more of a pessimistic person but my mom is a bundle of positivity and energy even at this age. Like my father the only thing which she has earned is the respect of people. All these years she has unconditionally done everything possible for us.

There has been times when I have fought with her and not spoken with her. But the first move to resolve the issue is always made by her. I can never say all these things to her. For me the look of happiness which I see on her face is priceless.

She inspires me to love others unconditionally, she inspires me to be positive and to do my best, she inspires me to never comprises on my principles.

We get a lot of inspiration around us to succeed in this competitive world, to have that cutting edge, to stay one step ahead. But my mom is the one who inspires me to be a better human being.
I am sure you would also realise that the biggest inspiration that comes for all of us is from our family.

Some Things that we all know

There are certain things in life that we all know but sometime that them for granted. At times we know that we are ignoring them but dont know the reason for it.

So whoever is reading this is really thinking that what all gyan this guy is trying to give us.
Well to think of we all dont have time for gyan specially coming from others in today's times.

Lets think about our friends. So all of us have lots of friends. So how many you can count out of your friends who have really stood by you in your testing time. And how many have you helped in their testing times. So its good to have so many people added on Orkut or Facebook. And to have so many people in our contacts on your mobile phone. But how many of these do you classify as someone whom you can bet on that they will be there when needed.

The answer is we are all searching at all times for those really close friends. We are adding people on Orkut, chatting with them on messengers because thats the best medium left to communicate. We all do not have time to meet each other regularly. So its most time saving and easy way to stay in touch.

So can you trust someone unknown on the net? if yes then to what extend?

And do we make friends at workplace. Well if you look at the a relationship at work starts mostly because of work and if thats not happening properly it affects the relationship also.
So the definition of friendship changes in a lot of ways for all of us. Its different on Orkut, or on messengers, or at workplaces. Its a relationship of convienience more then friendship. There is an expectation attached to everything.

So whom do we call as a gem of a friend.

Like I said before Some Things that we all know. The quote should not be "A friend in need is a friend indeed" but should be "A friend who is there in need unconditionally is a friend indeed"
At this point I can say that I have earned something special in life. I have come accross some really good human beings who are my friends. And this relationship has extended as to me they are family now.

There is a beautiful saying "One should have quality friends and not quantity friends"
So a simple advise we being a social animal need to communicate with people. So go ahead and meet people on orkut, messengers etc. but make sure you know who your real friends are.
Again you already know this. You just need to implement this.

Anything wrong cannot be accepted in the name of being practical

In today's competitive world the line between good and bad, right and wrong is becoming thinner every day. The new generation is full of go getters and target oriented people who want to achieve success at all expense.

The biggest expense paid by them is compromising on their moral and ethical values in the name of being practical. Anyone who wants to voice a opinion against something wrong is considered as a fool and carries the fear of acceptance from the world.

So accepting things the way they are doing wrong thing is the pratical mantra of today's time.
But I remember a dialogue from the movie Runaway Jury where Dustin Hoffman says thats its more important for him to not have any burden on his heart when he puts his head on the pillow in the night.

People like to have company of people who are like them and who do not give a strong call to wake their consious.

So where is this all leading to. Well it matters on what we believe in. If you think that heaven and hell is all here on Earth itself then follow what is easy and the in thing.

If you believe that your journey will continue ahead after death then for sometime atleast listen to your heart.

If all this does not makes a difference to you just try to help someone poor and then think.
Being practical is good when you have a line defining right and wrong. With no such definition you are atcually being the most impractical person.

A line from the Holy Quran says "Too much of anything is injurious to health".

Being too much practical is injurious to one's mental health.

Take care
